I hate Sundays.  They're just a reminder of everything I told myself I was going do to this weekend but never did.  I have tons of work to do, but I don't want to do anything!  My parents came down this weekend to see my orchestra concert on Friday...but I didn't really get the feeling they really wanted to come.  I think they just feel bad because they decided to sell our house in EP and I'm pretty upset about it.  As if that was supposed to fix the fact that I won't feel like I have a home after they move.  Oh well, it was still cool to have them here.  Plus, I got a lot of free food out of the deal.

If anyone likes that Hey Ya song by Outkast, you should go here:  http://www.tuekistan.com/heyyacb.mov  it's really cute!

A Rush of Blood to the Head

back to school. i'm taking my pre-lunch break...before i have to go back to presser (the music hall) for the second half of my day of classes.  this morning i had string tech, music theory, and piano.  i really would have rather have had another week of break.

speaking of which, it was cool seeing everybody...but its funny how things change, but yet they really don't.  everybody comes back with a whole new set of experiences and friends, but everybody still remembers everything from before.  some people i hadn't talked to at all since august, and some since graduation, but things always get picked up again like i just left.   it makes me wonder how long it will be until it's not that easy anymore.

okay, sorry i'm being such a pessimist...coldplay tends to do that sometimes.

well it's time for me to go to lunch...and then the second half of my day!

yay! finals are over!    it's funny because now that i actually have nothing to do, i don't know what to do with myself.  now i get to wait around until sunday morning when i finally get to leave....but that's okay, it can give me time to...well...do nothing!  yay, for once this semester i can do absolutely nothing!

anyway, i'm really excited because this means that i'm only one semester (and 154 days) away from going to italy during may term!!  although i know that kyle is dissapointed that i will be missing his birthday (because i will be in venice!) but that's okay because he will still be 19 when i get back....and YES, we are dating AGAIN.

wanna know another cool thing?  i quit my horribly stressful job! no more working for the slavedriver who is commonly referred to as "the egg" (which is mr. eggleston, my wind ensemble and orchestra director).  for any of you who don't know, i worked for him this past semester as the publicity manager for the orchestra and the wind ensemble here...which meant writing program notes, making sure everything was PERFECT with the posters, programs, tickets, mailings, advertisements, and faculty vouchers--WAY too much work to be able to squeeze in my 11 hour per week schedule, so i really ended up working more like 15 hours a week...which just plain sucks.

don't get me wrong, i really like mr. eggleston as a director....but when it comes to him being a boss, he's such a perfectionist (and this is beyond MY perfectionism!) that it just drove me CRAZY!   please for the love of god, SHOOT ME if this whole music teacher thing falls through and i end up in orchestra management!
